Arecont Vision Introduces World’s First 10 Megapixel H.264 IP Network Camera
Arecont Vision, makers of megapixel IP network cameras have announced the world’s first H.264 10 Megapixel IP Network Camera. The announcement was made at this year’s annual ASIS Seminar and Exhibits event being held in Anaheim, California.
The Arecont AV10005 is the world’s first 10 megapixel IP camera that incorporates H.264 compression at full resolution. Offering a 3,648 x 2,752 pixel resolution at up to 5 frames per second with dual H.264 and MJPEG encoding, the AV10005 is sure to impress many in the network video surveillance industry upon its release. Targeting the most demanding surveillance applications, the new 10MP AV10005 camera provides full-format 10-megapixel resolution at full frame rates in both MJPEG and H.264 compression types. The camera provides multiple non-identical streams with variable frame rates, bit rates, resolutions and compression quality. Zoom windowing capabilities of this camera offer a true alternative to expensive pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) devices. Available bit rate control, maintains desired bandwidth and storage size. Real-time streaming protocol (RTSP) assures compatibility with media players such as Apple QuickTime, Windows Media Player, VLC Player and others.
