Milestone XProtect Device Pack 4.6 Available Now!

Milestone Systems, the worldwide leader in open platform IP video management software, has announced that XProtect Device Pack 4.6 is now available for download. The latest XProtect device pack includes support for network camera devices from a number of manufacturers now offering hardware compliance with the new industry standards as set forth by ONVIF and PSIA. With the release of Device Pack 4.6, Milestone becomes the first video management software company to provide drivers that support standards from both ONVIF and PSIA. The following capabilities have been included with this latest device pack release:

NUUO NVRmini Video Demonstration – Playback Concluded

NUUO has released a series of videos available both through YouTube and on the NUUO website that showcase the NUUO NVR NVRmini Linux embedded IP network recorder devices. The NUUO NVRmini devices are designed as all-in-one network video recorders which will allow for connection of up to 16 network cameras per NVR with support from 14 leading network video surveillance device manufacturers. The NUUO NVRmini network video recorders are compact in design and will eliminate the need for a PC Server for video recording. The NUUO NVRmini devices are designed to operate as stand-along video recorders and will allow for remote access through a PC based client.

Today’s video will conclude demonstration of the Playback functionality of the NUUO NVRmin and will also conclude the video series on the NUUO NVRmini.

Vivotek 3GPP Support – PDA and Mobile Devices FAQ

Vivotek now includes 3GPP mobile surveillance support with Vivotek IP camera and video server devices. 3GPP mobile surveillance support will allow for live video from an IP camera or video server to display on a 3G compatible PDA, cell phone or iPhone. This added functionality allows for remote video surveillance on an entirely new level by removing the barriers of having to visit stationary locations in order to access an IP video surveillance network. Instead, users can access video from any location where they are able to receive a 3G mobile signal. Because of this added functionality, Vivotek has posted a FAQ on their website which is designed to help provide support for users of Vivotek products who wish to properly configure remote access to their network video devices via a mobile device.

NUUO IP+ NVR – Remote Viewing Demonstation Video

NUUO has released a series of videos available both through YouTube and on the NUUO website that showcases the Windows based network video surveillance software used for NUUO NDVR hybrid systems, NUUO NVRmini systems or used separately on a dedicated Windows based computer for management and surveillance of IP network cameras or analog CCTV cameras connected via video encoders or NUUO DVR card technology. The NUUO IP+ network video surveillance software is a flexible software application with the ability to manage up to 64 cameras per server. The NUUO IP+ software supports 36 different brands of IP network cameras with more than 560 devices currently being supported.

IP Camera Guru will today showcase the “NUUO Mainconsole remote live view” video. This video shows an overview of the steps required for accessing the NUUO IP+ network video surveillance software remotely via Internet Explorer. The video goes on to show how both live video and recorded video are accessed. This demonstration video assumes that remote access has already been configured through the network router or firewall and only touches upon remote access from the NUUO IP+ software standpoint. This concludes the initial NUUO IP+ NVR video series on the IP Camera Guru website. However, more video demonstrations from the NUUO website will be posted in the very near future.
