Axis Announces the Axis P5534 IP Camera

Axis Communications, the creator of the world’s first IP camera and worldwide leader in producing IP network video surveillance products, has recently announced a new product to be added to the Axis PTZ IP camera product line. The Axis P5534 is a HDTV 720p dome PTZ IP camera featuring 18x optical zoom and Day/Night capabilities. The Axis P5534 will support video resolution up to 1280×720 and will allow for multi-stream functionality with support for MJPEG and H.264 video compression formats. Additional features include Two-Way audio communication support, 360 degree pan functionality and support for the High PoE (Power over Ethernet) IEEE 802.3at standard. The Axis P5534 is expected to be available for purchase within the month of January 2010 and will come with the inclusion of a High PoE midspan device which will allow for the camera to receive power via PoE.

Milestone XProtect Device Pack 4.6 Available Now!

Milestone Systems, the worldwide leader in open platform IP video management software, has announced that XProtect Device Pack 4.6 is now available for download. The latest XProtect device pack includes support for network camera devices from a number of manufacturers now offering hardware compliance with the new industry standards as set forth by ONVIF and PSIA. With the release of Device Pack 4.6, Milestone becomes the first video management software company to provide drivers that support standards from both ONVIF and PSIA. The following capabilities have been included with this latest device pack release:

Vivotek Announces New Lens Support

Vivotek has recently announced a new lens that is supported for use with the Vivotek IP7160, IP7161 and IP8161 IP camera devices. The newly supported lens is a 3~8mm, F1.2~360, Auto-Iris lens by Computar.

NUUO NVRmini Video Demonstration – Playback Concluded

NUUO has released a series of videos available both through YouTube and on the NUUO website that showcase the NUUO NVR NVRmini Linux embedded IP network recorder devices. The NUUO NVRmini devices are designed as all-in-one network video recorders which will allow for connection of up to 16 network cameras per NVR with support from 14 leading network video surveillance device manufacturers. The NUUO NVRmini network video recorders are compact in design and will eliminate the need for a PC Server for video recording. The NUUO NVRmini devices are designed to operate as stand-along video recorders and will allow for remote access through a PC based client.

Today’s video will conclude demonstration of the Playback functionality of the NUUO NVRmin and will also conclude the video series on the NUUO NVRmini.

ACTi Corp. has recently announced via a press release that they have partnered with network video surveillance software and system developer, Geovision Inc., to provide a 32 channel pure IP surveillance solution. The recently released version V8.3.2 GV-NVR, released by Geovsion, supports the full ACTi product line with included support for MPEG4, MJPEG and H.264 video compression platforms.

Vivotek Announces New Product Distributor in Italy

Vivotek has recently announced via the Vivotek Web News RSS feed that a new distribution partner located in Italy will be providing Vivotek IP camera, video server and network video accessory products. Tecnoalarm is the latest Vivotek distributor to be added to the list of Vivotek product distributors located in Italy that now totals 5 distributors for the area. Axis Communications has recently released an updated product guide that lists all Axis network video products in complete detail and acts as great source for finding details on specific Axis network video products. The layout of the Axis Product Guide includes product descriptions, product features and product comparisons.
