Vivotek IP8330 Now Available!

The new Vivotek IP8330 is now available at Network Camera Store. This new bullet IP camera offers many features with the highlight being the amazing 60fps at VGA resolution.

The Vivotek IP8330 offers exceptional video quality during the day and night. With VGA resolution and 60fps at 640×480, the IP8330 provides vivid colors at high frame rates allowing even fast moving objects to be clear and smooth. The superior night time visible is also a benefit as the IP8330 incorporates built-in IR illuminators effective up to 15 meters with an IR-cut filter allowing detailed video at night in pitch darkness.

The IP8330 is an ideal outdoor surveillance camera providing an IP66 rated housing for protection against harsh weather environments and even includes tamper detection providing alerts when the video is blocked, defocused, moved or spray painted. Motion detection alerts are also possible with the ability to record to an onboard memory MicroSD card when the motion is detected.

With “Triple Codec” support, the Vivotek IP8330 provides H.264, MJPEG and MPEG-4 video compressions. These can also be streaming simultaneously allowing you to set separate streams with customized video quality, resolution, frame rate and compression type. This is ideal for separate connections to users or software and can help limit bandwidth used both locally and remotely.

The IP8330 also comes with power over ethernet support for easier installation where running power to the camera may not be possible. The onboard MicroSD card slot also allows you to record snapshots or video directly on the camera if a PC can not be connected to record. This makes the Vivotek IP8330 a stand-alone solution for surveillance and monitoring. The camera is also ONVIF compliant for easier integration and interoparability.

The Vivotek IP8330 also comes with free IP camera software created by Vivotek. This software allows you to record from the IP8330 and all other Vivotek IP cameras and video servers on a PC. While the software is not Mac based, it is possible to view video on a Mac. The most popular Mac based software for Vivotek cameras is SecuritySpy software however compatibility has not been confirmed.

The Vivotek IP8330 can be purchased from Network Camera Store. Their friendly and knowledgeable sales & support staff can provide both pre-sales recommendations and post-sales support. More information can be found on their website at www.networkcamerastore.com or by phone at (877) 638-2260.

ONVIF Press Release Excerpt:

Ten companies active in the network video surveillance market joined the first ONVIF developer’s plug fest in Tokyo, Japan on September 1-3. At the event, the participants tested their product implementations of ONVIF core specification 1.0. The testing included video encoders, network cameras and video management software, verifying interoperability between the products and the software. All participants – Axis, Bosch, Canon, Hitachi, IndigoVision, Merit Lilin, Panasonic, Sony, Vivotek and Zuken – could confirm the correct implementation into their products.

“We are very pleased with the results from the plug fest as all companies successfully achieved the goal of interoperability with the other participants,” says Markus Wierny, Bosch Security Systems, Member of ONVIF’s Technical Services Committee and organizer of the plug fest. “This means a significant step towards ONVIF’s goal of achieving global interoperability.”
