Network Camera Store, a distributor of network video surveillance products including IP camera and video server devices, now offers the SecuritySpy Mac surveillance software from Ben Systems. SecuritySpy is an IP network video surveillance software application designed for use on Macintosh (Mac) computer systems and allows for a Mac surveillance system as opposed to the more traditional Windows based network video surveillance systems that have saturated the market up until now. The SecuritySpy Mac surveillance software supports multiple IP camera and video server devices from over 35 different network video surveillance device manufacturers and also includes support for Mac IP camera or Mac web camera devices through USB, FireWire or PCI card connection. The SecuritySpy software operates similar to other network surveillance software, only it supports Mac based computer systems. It’s a welcome alternative in a heavily focused, Windows based industry.

Albanian Government Uses NUUO to Enhance Election’s Credibility

In the June 2009 political election held by the Albanian government, NUUO IP+ network video surveillance software was utilized for the monitoring and recording of 445 IP cameras installed within 70 voting stations location across Albania. The primary purpose if this application was to monitor and record the process of ballot casting along with ballot counting and announcements. With such a sophisticated and expansive surveillance system with the added benefit of remote accessibility to authorized personnel, public credibility and election irregularity prevention was successfully achieved.

The IP network video surveillance system, installation by system integrators SHINE, consisted of a combination of Axis Communications and Mobotix IP cameras which included the Axis 207MW megapixel IP cameras along with the Mobotix Q24P dome IP cameras.

NUUO Press Release Excerpt:

More than security; a smart surveillance system minimizes cost and risk
NUUO enables 128 CH streams of remote live view at one time, offering clear and stable video quality, and it helped the central government to monitor all situations in the election office. The voting sites were connected by a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to the Interior Ministry. During the election, the officers observed feeds from all the sites, and were able to monitor all facets of the election as well as react when an adverse event occurred. In addition, in the case of any irregularities, the event would be recorded, allowing the government to deal confidently with any dispute or controversy.
