ACTi Corp. has recently announced via a press release that they have partnered with network video surveillance software and system developer, Geovision Inc., to provide a 32 channel pure IP surveillance solution. The recently released version V8.3.2 GV-NVR, released by Geovsion, supports the full ACTi product line with included support for MPEG4, MJPEG and H.264 video compression platforms.

Park Central, a 550,440 square-foot office building located in the heart of Denver’s business district and owned by Means-Knaus real estate investment firm, has chosen an analog-IP hybrid video surveillance system for providing protection for the bank, ATMs, restaurants and all other occupants of the building. Through a cooperative partnership between ACTi, NUUO and vForge, a hybrid video surveillance system has been created. The application features a combination of analog cameras, ACTi megapixel IP cameras, and includes vForge’s implementation of the NUUO Hybrid NDVR server. The entire surveillance system is being managed by Universal Protection Services (UPS), listed as one of the top ten security companies in the United States. UPS security guard staff have expressed their support of this new system stating the that the system is easy to use and allows for advanced control of the surveillance system without having to leave the monitoring station.

IP Camera Guru will today showcase the “NUUO Mainconsole remote live view” video. This video shows an overview of the steps required for accessing the NUUO IP+ network video surveillance software remotely via Internet Explorer. The video goes on to show how both live video and recorded video are accessed. This demonstration video assumes that remote access has already been configured through the network router or firewall and only touches upon remote access from the NUUO IP+ software standpoint.
