NUUO has released a series of videos available both through YouTube and on the NUUO website that showcases the Windows based network video surveillance software used for NUUO NDVR hybrid systems, NUUO NVRmini systems or used separately on a dedicated Windows based computer for management and surveillance of IP network cameras or analog CCTV cameras connected via video encoders or NUUO DVR card technology. The NUUO IP+ network video surveillance software is a flexible software application with the ability to manage up to 64 cameras per server. The NUUO IP+ software supports 36 different brands of IP network cameras with more than 560 devices currently being supported.

IP Camera Guru will today showcase the “NUUO Mainconsole remote live view” video. This video shows an overview of the steps required for accessing the NUUO IP+ network video surveillance software remotely via Internet Explorer. The video goes on to show how both live video and recorded video are accessed. This demonstration video assumes that remote access has already been configured through the network router or firewall and only touches upon remote access from the NUUO IP+ software standpoint. This concludes the initial NUUO IP+ NVR video series on the IP Camera Guru website. However, more video demonstrations from the NUUO website will be posted in the very near future. Please check back with IP Camera Guru for more details.

One of the many benefits of IP network video surveillance is the ability to not only monitor local to the site of the surveillance installation but to also be able to monitor remotely using the Internet. Now with the addition of mobiles surveillance support on many IP cameras and video servers, remote surveillance is now even more accessible. An introductory guide to Remote Surveillance Configuration has recently been released on the Network Camera Store website. Here is an excerpt:

One of the advantages of using an IP based surveillance system is the ease of access that can be granted to authorized users of the surveillance network. Not only can an IP camera be browsed to locally within a local network but there is also potential to be able to view an IP camera remotely via the Internet as well. Remote access is not just limited to IP cameras however. IP video encoders (video servers), Network Video Recorders (NVRs) and IP network video surveillance software also all have the potential to be accessed remotely using the Internet. Such capabilities allow for the potential of increased security by having the ability to not only monitor while onsite at the camera’s location but by also adding the ability to monitor the location remotely.

Also, a video which was posted on YouTube have been included. This video shows how to accomplish Port Forwarding and should be helpful when used as a guide for when you need to enable remote access to IP cameras, video servers or network video surveillance software applications on your surveillance network. The video goes through configuration and basic port forwarding for a Vivotek PZ6114 wireless IP camera on a D-Link router.

The Global Seed Group based in Vojvodina, of the Republic of Serbia, provides food to their local community and is a leading agricultural and dairy production corporation. The Global Seed Group has a total of 2,700 hectares of agricultural farmland with production facilities located miles apart from each other in the cities of Curug, Gospodjinci and Veternik. Due to this separation between each location a centralized surveillance solution was sought for.

NUUO was able to provide centralized management for this application through the integration of NUUO NDVR, NVR and DVR servers. This application included a mix of IP network cameras and analog CCTV cameras. NUUO’s Central Management System provided the ability to bring each location together for centralized monitoring and management. NUUO’s hybrid technology inclusion allowed for the existing analog cameras to be integrated into the newly installed IP network surveillance system. By incorporating the existing camera system into the expanded IP surveillance system the conversion from analog CCTV to digital IP network surveillance provided a more cost effect solution.

NUUO Press Release Excerpt:

The system consists of over 70 cameras, ten of which are speed domes, connected to four NUUO NDVR, NVR and DVR servers, and placed in three geographically distant locations (about 30 kilometers apart) by WiFi technology. The central control room is equipped with a plasma screen on which the monitor image from any camera can be viewed. Using IP technology, mobile cameras can be managed through a standard PC joystick from the central site or from any other supervisory location within the facilities. Video signal recording on the network drives and compression significantly reduces the size of clips and storage of recording.
